Hey! DiceMaker v.0.1.0 brings some important and often-requested features, namely:
Bumpers can reduce warping of the printed dice. They are generally useful when placing supports or sanding printed masters.
Bumpers’ generation is enabled by default. It can be turned off (per die) in the Attributes window.
I’ve added five slots for custom Face Templates (named S1 to S5), and dice faces can now be reassigned to follow any Template. What it means in practice is that you can prepare an image for a high value, low value, etc., and assign it to any face of any die. Die face will follow any changes made to the Template.
Perhaps most importantly, DiceMaker now supports SVG images for custom dice faces! Using SVGs over PNGs results in inherently higher quality engravings, because there’s no fidelity loss during the vectorization process of raster images. This comes with a few caveats:
